Marine Speaker Evening Thursday 2nd December 2021 at 7.30pm via Zoom
Presents David Reinhard speaking on “Underwater Photography”
About the Speaker:
David has been scuba diving for about forty-five years, and has been taking underwater photographs for the last fifteen. He has dived at a variety of areas in Victoria, NSW and Queensland, along with many tropical locations including Fiji, Vanuatu, Indonesia, The Philippines, The Maldives, and the Solomon Islands.
Although the focus of David’s talk will be on water photography, he is also a keen amateur photographer on land including genres such as landscapes, wildlife, portraits and travel.
Shooting photographs underwater is a lot different from taking photos with two feet planted firmly on the ground. In his presentation, David will cover various topics, including:
- Underwater camera gear
- Dangers and difficulties associated with underwater photography
- The behaviour of light underwater
- Tips for better photos and composition
- A slide show including photos from Port Phillip Bay, Wilson’s Prom and various tropical locations
If you would like to learn more and improve your underwater photography, or if you would just like to relax and have a look at some beautiful photos, please join us on December 2 at 7.30pm. The Zoom link is below.
